McKinney Competitions: what we've verified, and what to check
This is not a star rating or a verdict. It sets out what Prize Scout has actually checked about McKinney Competitions, what we have not, and how to check any operator's draw method, free entry route and ticket caps yourself before you enter.

Quick answer
McKinney Competitions is a UK competition operator whose live listings Prize Scout reads directly from its own website. We have confirmed that its title, ticket price, ticket progress, listing links and draw date match what it publishes. We have not independently verified its company registration, its draw method, or an external winner archive, and we have no review scores to report. Check the operator's current terms for those before entering.
What we have verified
From our own checks of McKinney's published pages:
- Listings are real and readable. Competition title, ticket price, ticket progress, listing links and draw date all match what the operator publishes.
- The site address. The operator's site is mckinneycompetitions.com. An older .co.uk address we tried first did not work, and its apex redirects to the .com, so use the .com.
Cash-alternative and prize-value figures are read from the same pages but are not yet independently spot-checked, so treat those two numbers as provisional.
What we have not verified
We are saying this plainly, because many 'review' pages gloss over it:
- Company registration and the legal entity behind the brand.
- The draw method, including whether draws are live, recorded or independently witnessed.
- An external winner archive or winner claims.
- Customer review scores. We do not quote any.
- Anything about licensing or regulation beyond the general UK rules on prize competitions.
If you searched for 'McKinney competitions live draw', note that we have not verified how McKinney conducts its draws. The operator's own terms and channels are the right source.
How to check McKinney, or any operator
Draw method
Find the competition terms and look for a stated method: how the winning ticket is chosen, whether a random number generator or another process is used, and whether the draw is recorded, streamed or witnessed. A live stream is not by itself proof of fairness, and an absence of detail is itself a signal. See how competition winners are chosen.
Free entry route
UK paid prize competitions are structured with a free route of entry, generally postal. The terms should give an address, what to include and the closing time. If you cannot find one, ask before you pay. See free postal entry routes.
Ticket caps and pool size
Check the maximum tickets per person and the total pool. A published sold count and total makes your odds calculable. See competition odds explained and how car competitions work.
Undersold competitions
Read what the terms say happens if tickets do not sell out: an extension, a guaranteed draw, or a refund. See what if a competition does not sell out.
Winners
Look for dated, named winner announcements on the operator's own site and, if possible, a way to cross-check them elsewhere. Prize Scout records winner announcements it has seen on each dossier page, and states where none have been recorded.
Reading the numbers on its listings
The McKinney dossier shows live draw count and the median value ratio across its current draws. These are recalculated from live listings, not a rating, and do not describe how its competitions typically perform at closing. For a per-draw view on your budget, use the best-odds board.
Before you enter anything
- Read the current terms yourself.
- Confirm the domain is the operator's own, not a look-alike. See how to spot a competition scam.
- Work out your odds and decide a limit. See responsible entry.
Prize Scout does not sell tickets. This page will be updated as we verify more.
